In memory of: Richard “Dick” K. Descheller (1944-2024) We mourn the passing of our friend, former partner and co-chairman Richard “Dick” K. Descheller. Dick was a member of Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP for over 24 years. He was an excellent business lawyer, a great colleague, and a true friend. He joined the Bloomberg organization in 2012 and served as chief legal advisor to Bloomberg Inc. from its inception and was subsequently appointed to the Board of Directors. Dick’s knowledge and experience are unparalleled, as evidenced by his leadership and executive appointments in many reputable organizations. He is deeply involved in civic and community engagement through his work with the SLE (Lupus) Foundation, the Lupus Institute, the New York United Hospital Foundation, the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, the National Dance Institute, and Baryshnikov’s Dance Foundation.
