The Rotary Club of Mexico hosted Missouri Military Academy Cadet and Instructor CW4(R) Jason Landrum on Friday, January 26, to present information on recent accomplishments of the MMA Cybersecurity Program. Among the MMA cadets’ cybersecurity accomplishments, the Cyber 1 cadets participated in a Capture the Flag competition in November 2023 with five other AJROTC cyber programs across the United States. The timed competition required cadets to use deductive reasoning and research skills while working in a sophisticated environment. – Stressful environment. Although MMA’s Cyber 1 cadets have only been in the cyber program for one semester, they have successfully competed against schools that have students with one to two years of cybersecurity experience, Landrum said.
