Florida Tech Panthers’ Nile Harris receives CSC All-District Academic Award

Harris is pursuing a master’s degree in aerospace engineering.

BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech men’s basketball’s Nyle Harris has earned a spot on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

The 2023-24 All-District Men’s and Women’s Basketball Teams, selected by University Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their overall performance on the court and in the classroom.

Academic All-District winners will advance to the CSC Academic All-America voting.

Academic All-America first, second and third team honorees will be announced on April 16 (women’s) and April 17 (men’s).

Harris, a graduate student, is pursuing a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and has a perfect cumulative grade point average of 4.0. On the court, Harris averaged 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.0 steals.

England’s Lester scored 23 points against Tampa on Senior Day, becoming the 27th Panther player in program history to reach 1,000 career points.
