BREVARD COUNTY • MELBOURNE, Fla. – Florida Tech University President John Nicklow has announced the latest edition of “Presidential Perspectives” for March. In his March Presidential Outlook, Florida Tech President Nick Lowe takes a moment to talk about athletics. He praised the historic performances of scholarship athletes on and off the field this season and emphasized the important role athletics plays in the college experience.

Hello, Panthers! Spring has arrived at Florida Institute of Technology, making it a fun time to be on campus. It was a historic season for Florida Tech Athletics, with both the men’s and women’s soccer programs reaching the 2023 NCAA Tournament Final Four, and both coaching staffs being named Regional Staff of the Year, making Florida Tech the first-ever National won player of the year. .

This is just one example of the level of success that is possible for all hard-working scholar-athletes.

Florida Tech is one of 44 NCAA D2 schools recognized for achieving an academic success rate of 90% or higher, with a rate of 92% for the six-year cohort ending in 2022. The program is over 90% registered.

Meanwhile, the Sunshine State Conference recently announced its Fall Commissioner’s Honor Roll, with 69 Florida Tech scholarship athletes recognized for their outstanding performance in the classroom. Twenty-three of them earned a perfect 4.00 grade point average last semester.
