The tech festivities continue into October, with companies looking forward to hosting events that promise to foster discussion about their existing technology stacks and the prospects for exciting new technologies.
The October 2023 Conference Catalog, curated by Spiceworks News & Insights, includes 6+ events that technology enthusiasts and professionals should track this month. Here’s what will happen in October 2023.
October 2023 Technical Conference
1. Made by Google
Made by Google is an event to unveil the company’s next generation of hardware, particularly its popular Pixel series of smartphones and watches. In his August teaser, Google announced the Pixel 8 and Pixel Watch 2, but Google is expected to announce his Pixel 8 Pro as well. An early look at the smartphone shows more symmetrical design elements and a Tensor G3 chip.

However, it remains to be seen whether Google will address one of the most significant issues with Pixel smartphones: their reliance on the Exynos 5300 modem.

2. Samsung Developer Conference 2023
While Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked 2023 event in July focused on consumer hardware, Samsung Developer Conference 2023 (SDC) will help customers deliver a better customer experience. Our focus is on development efforts to make this possible.
In a press release, Samsung highlighted that SDC 2023 will focus on One UI 6, SmartThings, Matter, Bixby, Tizen, and Samsung Health. For SDC 2023, the South Korean electronics conglomerate is making the event open to anyone interested, unlike last year when it was invite-only.
The keynote speech will begin with JH Han, Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of Device Experience (DX) at Samsung. Han will be accompanied by Jaeyeon Jung, vice president of the SmartThings team. Senior Vice President; North America Anil Yadav will head to Bixby Research Institute. Mr. Shin-Chul Baik, lead engineer on Samsung’s mobile security team for his experience business. Hobum Kwon, Vice President, Samsung Research Platform Team; Bongjun Ko, EVP, Application Software Research and Development Group, Visual Display (TV) Business Unit; and Sally Hyesoon Jung, Vice President, Samsung MX Framework R&D Group. Hon Park, Vice President, Samsung MX Digital Health Team.
External keynote speakers include Cathy You from Global Business and Strategy at Aqara; Patti Mays, MIT Professor of Media Technology. and Nick Holzherr, co-founder of Whisk (acquired by Samsung in 2019).

3. DEGAMEFI WEB3 Conference 2023
Blockchain, Cryptocurrency as over 1200 attendees including developers, experts, enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, and investors gather in Georgia (a country, not a US state) for a one-day keynote address. , and it is expected that all things decentralized will attract attention. We will host panel discussions, networking, an exciting startup competition, and more.
Approximately 50 speakers from companies such as Polygon, Mastercard, Tether, and Fastex are expected to discuss the future of Web3 in gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), and more.

4. Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023
Although Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023 is not strictly a technology conference, it provides attendees with a deep dive into industry insights and trends that will help leaders plan their future actions.
Gartner IT Symposium/Xpo 2023 will feature guest speakers from CIOs, CISOs, chief data officers, IT VPs, and development leaders, as well as Gartner Magic Quadrant sessions, market guides, workshops, roundtable sessions, and “What’s Next?” There will be a keynote speech titled. − We shape AI, and AI shapes us.”
Through the theme “Unleash Possibility,” Gartner said it aims to “separate hype from reality and embrace the latest insights and technology.”

5. GITEX Global 2023
GITEX GLOBAL 2023, short for Gulf Information Technology Exhibition, is a large-scale technology exhibition focused on the latest innovations. Last year, the event drew more than 170,000 attendees to see the innovations of 5,000 companies.
For this year’s 43rd edition of the event, organizers of Dubai Digital Economy Chamber will host over 6,000 companies and 180,000 participants, over 1,400 speakers, over 40 workshops and 800 hours across 21 tracks. We expect to see more content.
One of the main expectations at GITEX GLOBAL 2023 is the discussion on the emergence of artificial intelligence. The event calls 2023 “The Year of Imagining AI in Everything,” and that’s exactly what it says. Also, don’t miss the shows AI Everything, Global DevSlam, GITEX Impact, and Future Urbanism.

6. Blackberry Summit
BlackBerry Summit 2023, communications and cybersecurity company’s biggest event of the year, provides insight into the company’s strategy. Themed “Trust,” BlackBerry Summit 2023 will explore edge intelligence, cybersecurity, embedded systems, and generative AI.
In addition to the keynote address, there will be roundtable discussions, demonstrations, and other breakout sessions. 7. AI Accelerator Summit Boston | Generative AI Summit | Computer Vision Summit
